COVID-19 INFORMATION

 While COVID-19 remains in our community, Azima Therapeutic Massage will operate with these changes to standard policies and procedures to protect therapist and client safety. These policies are subject to updates and changes based on CDC guidance, Pennsylvania and Philadelphia Health Departments, Federal, State and local business mandates, and best practice guidance within the Massage Therapy and Bodywork profession.   


  • Until further notice, only 60 minute sessions are available and oncology massage appointments will be limited to 30 minutes. Somatic Experiencing and Co-Active Coaching work are currently only provided on-line for 60 or 75 minute sessions through the Zoom Videoconferencing platform. Please see the "Service & Fees" page to learn more about these services and scheduling.

  • Direct contact work on the face or any area of the head that requires removal or touching of client's face mask is prohibited at this time.
  • Until further notice, the cancellation policy and associated fees are suspended.
  • HEPA air purifiers are used throughout the office to help ensure air flow and quality, and at least one hour is added in between client sessions to allow for thorough cleaning of the treatment room and all common areas.
  • In addition to daily deep cleaning and disinfecting protocols, First Round Clean, a local commercial cleaning service, is deep cleaning and treating the office with a non-toxic, EPA approved cleaning solution several times per month. 


PRIOR TO YOUR IN-PERSON APPOINTMENT 
  • All clients must have a completed, up-to-date confidential health intake form on file. Please review and update your intake form as necessary prior to EVERY appointments. If you have any issues with this, please call 484-764-5056 to have a HIPPA Compliant link to your intake form emailed to you. 
  • A phone call or Zoom meeting will be scheduled at least one day prior to your appointment to discuss your treatment plan, intentions and session goal. 
  • Clients are encouraged to use the pre-payment option when booking. If you prefer payment by cash or check, please bring payment in an envelope. Checks are made payable to AZIMA MASSAGE. If necessary, an invoice can also be emailed at the time of service and check payments can be mailed. 


THE DAY OF YOUR APPOINTMENT 
  • When you arrive at the office, please text or call 484-764-5056 and wait in your car or outside the office door. I will greet you at the door and take your temperature with a no-touch thermal temperature reader. 
  • You will be asked about symptoms of illness including a cough or digestive issues. If you have a fever, symptoms of illness, or answer "YES" to any of the following questions, we will reschedule your massage session to a later date: 
    • Have you experienced cold or flu-like symptoms in the past 14 days?
    • Has a health professional has asked me to self-isolate?
    • Have you been in close contact with someone experiencing cold or flu-like symptoms in the past 14 days?
    • Have you cared for or been in close proximity with someone who is currently positive for COVID-19 in the past 14 days?
    • Have you tested for COVID-19 in the last 14 days and are still waiting for the result?

  • You may wear your own cloth mask to the office. However, once inside you will be asked to wash you hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, and then be provide with a sanitized surgical mask to be donned and worn during your visit.
  • The provided surgical face mask must be work while lying supine (face up) on the massage table and no massage work will be performed on the face or head.
  • Talking will be limited to necessary communication to ensure a comfortable and safe bodywork session. (But we can certainly take all the time we need and communicate more during our pre-session phone call or Zoom meeting. :-)
  • Fresh drinking water is still available at the office, but will not be offered to clients during or after their appointments. Clients are encouraged to bring their water with them in a personal water container.


AFTER YOUR APPOINTMENT
  • If you develop symptoms of illness or test positive for COVID-19 within two weeks of your appointment, please call me immediately at 484-764-5056.
  • Expect a follow up call from me 1 week and 2 weeks after your session to check on your health status.
